Thuja Bonsai, From an Airlayer, 1
Jul 21, 2023
Thuja Pilcata Atrovirens - known as the Western Red Cedar. I found this tree in the communal garden under about 8ft of brambles. I’ve no idea how it was still alive. I airlayered the top and let it grow out for the last few years. I cut it back hard in spring so I could ship it over from Ireland. However, I didn’t really think the cuts through and now it is a bit of a disaster. I think i can still make a bonsai out of it, its just going to take a long time.
